The campaign for monetary reform is underway. “We will return to the gold standard within five years,” according to Lewis E. Lehrman during an interview with Judge Napolitano on FreedomWatch on August 18, 2011.

Mr. Lehrman should know. He is leading the charge, reminding his fellow Americans of our shared western history and the vision that our Founders set forth in the Constitution.
In a remarkably short period of time, the United States grew from thirteen ill-managed colonies into the most prosperous nation the world had ever seen. During most of this period, our monetary regime—the gold standard—inspired confidence and trust in market mechanisms, encouraging long-term savings and investment and heretofore unseen economic growth.
That is, until one hundred years ago.

With the creation of the Federal Reserve System in 1913, the Bretton Woods system of the post-Second World War era, and Nixon’s rescission of the gold standard in 1971, a century of decline in the dollar’s value ensued. At the outset of the 1980s, President Reagan inherited a suite of economic problems. Although he seriously entertained the idea of a return to the gold standard in the 1980s—even requesting and reviewing a plan on how to restore convertibility of the dollar to gold—fiscal restructuring, in the form of an overhaul of the tax code, took center stage.
The monetary reform plan was never carried out.

The wild volatility over the last forty years, especially during the economic downturn of 2007-09, provides further evidence that only a dollar as good as gold will restore long-term price stability and lay the foundation for long run economic growth.
America and the world need a true gold standard more than ever. Is America still courageous enough to lead the world in reestablishing financial order? Let’s hope so—the true gold standard is our last best hope.

In South African terms, I also think that only a Rand as good as gold will inspire real confidence in the currency.

“It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30,000,000 in bonds and not $30,000,000 in currency. Both are promises to pay; but one promise fattens the usurer(those asking interest) and the other helps the people”, and;

“It is the people who constitute the basis of government credit. Why then cannot the people have the benefit of their own gilt-edged credit by receiving non-interest bearing currency, instead of the bankers receiving the benefit of the people’s credit in interest bearing bonds?”

If I read this, I am sure that in South Africa, we have exactly the same problem. The ANC regime makes loans and sells bonds, but the very small tax base must pay the interest. Now wonder small businesses are becoming fewer, tax payers leave the country and, as a whole, the majority of people are less well off. The only one who get richer are the connect political caders, the banks and the legal specialists who work together to keep the farce going.

Something needs to give and in RSA I am sure the time will soon come when the masses realize that Madela sold them a great big lie, that the current ANC regime perpetuate that lie, that the regime just added plain theft to that lie...then civil unrest will lead to civil war.

Only normal men and women can change this and we need to do it in two ways;

1. At the ballot box

2. By getting the international community to see the truth and act on it.

It is simply amazing that the murders, torture and rape of white people in South Africa continues almost daily and that not even one international organization has said a word about this. genocide watch have the Boer people of South Africa on the verge of full scale genocide and not even this makes a difference.

The ANC regime wants everyone to believe that these things are simply robberies gone wrong, but this is a lie and impossible. Why are women then raped so violently all the time and people tortured in ways that is worse than what happened in the middle ages? In South Africa many children go missing each year and most are never found. making things worse is that most of these kids come from very poor families and have never even had a photo taken of themselves.

Imagine how difficult it is for the police to find these children.

This is just another step nearer to communism. Centralized control over private businesses, effectively giving the ruling party an opportunity to force us to employ people who support them. This then also gives them insights into how businesses are run, who is a competitor to their cronies and off course where there is money for them to lay there hands on.

In post apartheid South Africa we have this organization called:
"The human rights council"

They are suppose to be a watchdog over the human rights of all people who live in the country, but to be honest, they are a disgrace. In effect, they are nothing more than a lapdog of the African National Congress. It is clear that they only act in cases where non-whites have been subjected to some form of human rights loss or infringement.

In South African, white farmers are murdered, robbed and raped on an almost daily basis, almost exclusively by black criminals, but strangely this council has just about never done anything regarding this. More than 3000 people of one race killed in the last 15 years and no action? How can this be allowed is what I ask? Strangely enought, this same council cannot wait to get involved when just the slightest altercation occurs between a farmer and a black worker, even though in most cases it gets proven that said farmer was provoked or acted to defend his life and or property.

South Africa is not a place where all people have protection from human rights organizations or even the government. That is proven by the crime statistics, which just never seem to get any better.

South Africa: Local elections and political tricks

Well it is almost time for local (municipal elections) in South Africa and like always, the political parties up up their their tricks...and many lies and promises.

The president of the country has asked voters in one of the major cities, Bloemfontein, to vote for the ANC, even though candidates names have not been released by the ANC. Imagine that, the people have to vote and then hope to be represented by someone they can trust and support.
Clearly Zuma is using this to have open positions for people that he owes favours to, or even worse to have positions for family and friends available.

The RSA police will hopefully handle this well, but with their leader's irking on, it seems like brutality will be the response if they get involved in any such conflicts. Case in point is the recent case of an unarmed man being shot and killed at pointblank range during recent peaceful street protests.

Of South Africa’s 283 municipalities, 160 are under administration and only 28 deliver what is considered an acceptable standard of service.

SA taxpayers spend all their extra cash and free time to do jobs the SA cops are paid to do but aren't: catching criminals, patrolling the streets.. It is fact that the government makes millions from taxes gathered from people having to take their won measures against crime.

SA families are becoming so unsafe in a society where the cops are becoming increasingly criminalised and aggressive towards whites in public, that they need 911-emergency buttons on their cellphones.

30 % of tax payers, pay 80% of all taxes in South Africa
Those paying the highest taxes get the least return for their taxes, only 6c for every 1R paid.
Those who pay the least or only VAT get R48 back for every R1 paid.

On average 90 people are raped in the country each day, while 50 are murdered.

Official unemployment figure: 25%
Unofficial unemployment figure: 45%

Population number: +-55 million

Currently 24% of the South African individuals who are on Sars's(revenue service) database carry 64% of the personal income tax burden, whilst 50% of the tax-paying database only contribute 3.1% in personal income tax to the National Revenue Fund.

At 40%, the top marginal personal income tax rate for SA taxpayers is considerably higher than the global average of about 29%."

Currently one in eight employed people work in the public sector and the average wage is 44% higher than in the private sector. The government wage bill is higher than the revenue received from income tax.

Currently there are 14 million grant recipients and only 5 million income tax payers. Treasury estimates that by 2012 this figure would have reached 16 million. Of these more than 10 million will be child grant beneficiaries.

Calculations by the Efficient Group have investigated how much “value” individual South African tax payers receive for every single rand in taxes paid (this includes direct taxes like income tax, as well as indirect taxes like VAT). By considering different income levels, the calculations provide an indication of how strongly redistributive taxes are. It turns out that the lowest income bracket, which earns less than R57,000 a year, receives R48 in services for every R1 paid in taxes. In contrast, the highest income group, earning R1,000,000 a year, receives only 6c for every R1 in taxes paid. This means that low income earners effectively receive nearly 800 times more for their taxes than high income earners, suggesting a highly redistributive tax system in South Africa.

Well the South African minister of finance has revealed his latest budget, if it can be called that.

In effect it is a document explaining to the tax payers of the country how their taxes were going to be redistributed to ensure the ANC stays in power. Note that less than5 million people pay taxes out of a 55million population.

Highlight 1:
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan’s 2011 budget will allocate R112bn to health. This represents a 9.8% slice of the total R577.3bn social services expenditure and it includes measures to lay the foundations for the proposed national health insurance (NHI) scheme.

Now this should be seen clearly in light of the current situation on the health sector. Government health services are in a shambles. The staff are highly unionized and this paralyzes the provision of even the most basic of healthcare. Hospitals and clinic are understaffed and in many cases falling apart in anyway you can think about. New hospitals and clinics are built here and there, but only by ANC connected companies, who inflate the costs to levels that is constitute nothing more than wholesale theft.

Private healthcare is the only way that people of South Africa have of getting the quality help they need for healthcare. The ANC regime hates to be shown up by these private institutions and therefor the proposed NHI, which again they want to fund by an extra tax. Extra taxes are always their way forward, as they have no other plan, especially as they know their own supporters will never get more productive. Robbing Peter to give to Sipho also ensures the voting masses will always vote for the ANC.

It is sick, but it is brutal reality in this defacto one party state.

Well, I said what I wanted to on the bad, now what is there that is good:
1. Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve is worth a visit. it's close to Johannesburg and I have it a very pleasant place to visit.
2. Gauteng has a vibrant nightlife, with both good and bad.
3. A visit to Gold Reef City (theme park) should be fun, although it does get crowded over weekends.
4. Good shopping malls are everywhere for those who have money burning their pockets.
5. There are number of museums to visit and suggest that visitors do this as well. The apartheids museum is normally on every tour agenda, but in my view is a very lopsided institution. There's many other museums that will help to get a better all-round perspective on the country and its history.

Schooling in this province is really not even close to what it should be. Generally the only schools that still function with a measure of normality is the traditional white schools. Huge pressure is applied on these schools to also admit blacks, but sadly, the moment this happens the culture of learning changes to one of intimidation, violence and non-learning. The education department is also basically useless. "Matric" is the way we in RSA refer to the last year of high school.

Joblessness is a huge problem in the country and rural provinces are affected the most. This is to a large extent caused by government policies and unjust labour laws which causes farmers to mechanize their operations. Crime and murder is rampant in South Africa. Even more worrisome is the violence that accompanies most of these crime. The white Boer nation especially seems to attract more than it fair share of violent crime. The politicians try to make it off and even some reports tries to say that this is not true, but the facts are to be read on a daily basis in the news papers and especially independent websites, who report this sort of thing.

I was given this by an American guy who I work woth. It appears that many Yankies are realizing that Barack Obama is not the man he professes to be, nor of the quality needed to run and lead the free world.

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is. It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout.

You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it. The ANC regime of South Africa is under severe pressure to get more money in order to pay for the soccer world cup stadiums that was built in the last few years. Fact is that they and FIFA knew that the South African tax payers would have to be forced into financing this. In a country where less than 8% of the population pay taxes, surely this is nothing more than blatant theft and bullying on grand scale.

It is no wonder that the ANC regime are proposing all sorts of new taxes and toll fees, in order to try and make their budget work.

In the Western Cape province, the ANC is not in control. The DA government there build toilets for the people of a poor township, with agreement from the people to enclose the toilets themselves. Most did this, but around 50 people did not take the trouble. The ANC youth league has now latched onto this, destroying property in the process. It is clear that they use this issue to remove focus from their own parties evil doings and non-performance.

Seems like civil disobedience is being allowed by he ruling ANC if their supporters are involved, so be careful who you confront when visiting for the SWC. The hate white people especially and if provoked will not care if you South African or not. There's ample evidence that whites are being targeted by blacks in violent attacks and in some European countries this has even resulted in protests.

Be careful when visiting South Africa, it is still in many ways a jungle out here.

The small rural town where I live, is in mourning. Parys is situated in the Freestate province of South Africa, about 120km south of Johannesburg. A local, well loved and absolutely innocent farmer was murdered on his farm near town.

There is no doubt in the mind of most South Africans, that the police services and policemen in general, are not nearly of the standard needed to protect citizens of the country. I believe there are many reason for the high crime rates of South Africa, but that some part of it is driven by the many poor people in the country is a fact. The ANC regime have been saying that the inequality within the black group as far as income is concerned has been getting smaller. This is a lie, as is clearly shown in this next report.

Hi all

Violent crime is rife in South Africa, but then I think by this time most people all over the world knows about this. If you do not believe it, just read South Africa's online newspapers and websites.

The death penalty has been done away with after the ANC took over control, but many people still feel that it should be reinstated. I cannot blame them, especially in view of the high murder and rape statistic in the country. Personally, I am against the death penalty, but not on the basis that you might think. As a Christian, I believe there is a place for it, but in this world of evil governments, I cannot trust that government will use it correctly.

As I said, I am against the death penalty, but I do have strong views on what should be used in it's place:

FORCED HARD LABOUR.

In my view most people hate work, especially criminals, so this should be a good deterrent and it is also cruel enough a punishment to satisfy all those who want the death penalty back. Think about it, in effect you are torturing the criminal to death over a long period....cruel, but effective, while still being humane.

I firmly believe that in any business a top down approach is very important, especially when it comes to being friendly to customers. In South Africa, this way of doing is appearing to make good ground. Everyone involved in serious business of crime now smiles and goes about it like it's the best thing in the world to do...starts right at the top of government and as seen from the report, it has now reached the trenches. It took some time to filter through to all levels of crime workers, seeing as in a huge business, any form of change is at first resisted.

Every single human on this earth have the need to feel safe in his or her home. This is a right that most South Africans do not have. Except for politicians and the super rich who can afford massive private security presence, the rest have to make do with none at all, or some lesser forms of private security services.

In most of these cases, the criminals are never see or heard from again. They simply disappear into the masses of humanity of the townships, where they are save. Very few of them are ever reported to the police, as they use money to bribe people into not doing this, or even worse, they simply do this by unleashing a reign of violent terror.

If you plan to visit South Africa, please be very careful and vigilant. This is especially important when travelling at night. Several cases have been reported, in which stones are placed on roads with the intent of stopping cars. The owners are then robbed and if women are present, the chances are very good that they will be raped. If possible, avoid travelling alone at night.

There's good reason for the German soccer team's security advisors telling them to wear bulletproof vests in South Africa. People get killed here in daily numbers higher than that of countries who are at war.

South Africa: Crime and retaliation from citizens

There has lately been a lot of reports in the South African media on cases where citizens have taken violent action against criminals. The only reason I can see for this, is that citizens are frustrated by the lack of proper policing, lack of crime prevention effort from government and the failure of the justice system to get criminals into jail and to keep them there.

Private citizens have been coming under attack in their residences more and more. The government have been going all out to disarm the population by making the process to own legal weapons, as difficult as possible. Just this morning the president again said that he felt crime was made more, by citizens owning to many weaopons.

South Africa: 2010 crime is still way to high

Hi all

It has been reported in the South African media, that the German soccer team was advised to wear bullet proof jackets while in South Africa for the 2010 soccer world cup. These's also talks about extra security personnel ans that this personnel will not be recruited from South Africa.

If this does not send a clear message to all South Africans and especcially to government, than we should just hit them with a brick to wake them up from their sleep. South Africans have been exposed to extremely high levels of crime and since 1994, but now that 2010 is getting closer, those who will come to visit are sitting up and taking note of the situation. A few years ago, it was all still easy and there was time for things to change, but now it's time to face reality and plan for any eventuallity.

Personally, I have always advised people not to come to RSA for the world cup in 2010, simply as I feel that it will not be safe. I've been berated about this many times, but looking at the latest reports on crime in the country, I stand by my view.

Please, if you do plan to visit for the soccer world cup, make sure that you take every precaution possible to keep yourself safe. Violence is part and parcel of crime in RSA, so please read this:

In the post 1994 South Africa, crime has been rampant and it appears that criminals are getting better organized.

Note this report where a gang of 20 men attacked and robbed a mall. In their wake, they hijacked a car and killed the driver, all just to get away.

Some more high level corruption is taking place in South Africa. It’s a fact, the rot starts from the top and filters down. It can only be a complete moron who thinks that this new government is really going to make a difference, especially with a leader who is himself under massive suspicion of fraud, corruption and racketeering.

Soweto the huge township next to Johannesburg has been a crime cesspool for many years. Some people are trying to convince tourists otherwise, but it simply is a ploy to ensure that they also make money out of the 2010 soccer world cup.

My advice is to be very careful, should you decide to visit. Never go on your own, but rather go with a tour operator and a reputable one at that. There is simply way to many criminals waiting out there to pounce upon any unsuspecting tourist.

Some record must have been achieved with four armed robberies happening in one province on one day. It seems like the Nelspruit area of Mpumalanga is a crime hot spot and this blogger can expect this, due to high employment rates and severe poverty in that area.

Not even people in shopping centers are safe. Even such places are normally very busy and one would not expect robberies, these acts occur frequently all over South Africa. The bloggers wife was almost hijacked by such a robber in Johannesburg a few years ago.

He robbed a camera shop in a busy mall and then tried to hijack her and force her into helping him make his getaway. Luckily she kept her head, switched the car of and kept the windows closed. Bystanders saw the incident and apprehended the robber.

If you visit RSA be very careful, especially when leaving restaurants and entertainment venues late at night. Robbers know that most people are not vigilant after a good night out and then become easy targets.

Cash in transit heists are endemic to South Africa. These attacks are well orchestrated and as many as 20 people could be part of a gang. They use luxury cars to box the cash transit trucks in and then either push them of the road or shoot at them until they stop.

In most cases AK47’s and other assault rifle are used during such attack and it is inevitable that guards die in these attacks.

Please be very careful when moving around the country and always ensure that someone knows your schedule and whereabouts. Overseas tourists are seen as high profile targets for both abductors and robbers.

Abduction with the goal to force a woman into marriage also still occur in South Africa. I do not believe this is a huge threat, but is something that should be noted. Abductions with a view to keep people as sexual slaves are a lot more common though.

A new report from the Auditor-General shows that as many as three in four reported
domestic violence incidents are not being recorded properly, or at all, at South
African Police Stations.

• The report documents chronic failings in adequately reporting domestic violence
incidents at Police Stations in eight of the nine provinces.

• It highlights up to 75% failure rates in recording domestic violence incidents in
Occurrence Books, which directly affects the number of criminal cases that end up
being prosecuted.

• Also reported were serious attendance problems at SAPS training courses,
particularly in relation to programmes dealing with victims of domestic violence.

• Of all the targeted operational SAPS members anticipated to attend training on the
Domestic Violence Programme, only 10.7% attended.

• In the Victim Empowerment Programme, only 1.2% attendance was confirmed.

• Government’s record on addressing domestic violence is already dubious, given the
disbanding of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Units.
This situation has profound knock-on effects for the Police’s ability to combat
domestic violence.

South Africa: Corruption causes road carnage!!

Hi all
South African roads are notoriously dangerous and the number of deaths on the roads per year is more than can be expected in war-torn countries. Many drivers simply get a license via corrupt licensing officials and most of these people then go on the work in the minibus taxi industry.

Needless to say that these minibuses account for a major number of accidents on the roads, simply as they are chasing money without any regards for the safety of their passengers.

My sister works at a private vehicle testing station and as they are located right next to the licensing offices, she sees all these things going on. She’s reported the problems many times and even when someone is fired for corruption, there are more than enough people ready to take his place and make a few (lot actually) of extra money.

Even more strange is that the bosses of the licensing departments agree that corruption s taking place and many of them are themselves suspects.

If you visit South Africa and my advice is not to, then please do not use minibus taxis for transport. Rather get your hotel to organize a proper taxi service and make sure that the vehicle used is in good order and the driver can speak a language that you understand. Also always have a cell phone ready to call for help, if needed.

South Africa is a violent and very sick country. Criminals operate in whichever way they want and now a suspected criminal is president as well. Somehow this doesn’t sit well with an honest, law abiding citizen, like myself.

South Africa: Over population and violent crime

Hi all
With 104000 people entering South Africa every month of which only 20000 leave or gets deported and 33000 being born every month, the population in the country is exploding. What else than a population explosion, can it be called if the numbers go up by more than 1 million per year.

Xenophobic violence has been part of the country lately and even well-known economists are warning that this population growth might add fuel to this tendency.

It is clear to this blogger that government is doing their utmost to hide the real figures when it comes to the following:
Population growth
Unemployment numbers
Numbers of people living on social grants
Crime statistics
To me it makes simple sense that if there is 25% unemployment, as government reckons, then at least 3 times that many people must be living on social grants. Surely for every person that is unemployed, there must be dependants who need to be cared for as well.

The crime situation in RSA is to a large part simply an extension of the unemployment problem, although it must be said that there is a significant percentage of violent and corruption type crimes. Syndicates are also very active, especially in drugs, prostitution, abalone smuggling and poaching of endangered animals.

South Africa: New president not to be trusted

Hi all
So there we have it: A criminal has become president of South Africa. Yes, he has not been convicted, but the evidence is so overwhelming that every single head of the National Prosecuting Authority, wanted to have him in court. His whole affair with convicted fraudster Schaik just adds to this.

Why else would Zuma do all he can to stay out of court, except if he is guilty?

Please, I urge you not to ever trust this man or his government.

South Africa: Credit card fraud, a warning

Credit card fraud is a major headache in South Africa. I have personally been a victim of this and three years later I am still battling to get the money that was stolen returned to me.

Do not ever let anyone take your credit card away from you. Always make sure you can see it and force the waitron to rather bring a credit card machine to your table, rather than taking it away.

South Africa: Dis-arming the citizens, but not criminals

The South African government has been going all out to disarms citizens. It appears that some people are not to happy with this and a bomb scare tool place at a police station.

Disarming the citizens, while not being able to disarm criminals cannot be seen as working for the good of the country and the ANC should remember this. Personally, I think that all this is simply a way for the ANC to make sure that they will never be ousted from power. A defenceless population can never effect regime change and with Africa's track record, red lights should be flashing all over the world and in South Africa.

South Africa: Crime, some never face justice

The roots of the South African crime problem lies much deeper than might be visible..it starts right at the root of government. The ANC's president and the person they want to see as president of South Africa has dodged his way around facing justice for more years than most South Africans want to remember.

This man asked for his day in court, he pleaded for it in fact, but now him and his party are going all out for a political solution and not a solution based in the justice system of the country.

How South Africans can ever allow such a person to become president of the country, simply boggles my mind, as in most countries he would never qualify, even as a candidate.

The farming community of South Africa has been under constant attack of criminals since 1994. After the ANC took over government they have disbanded all regional commando structures and this has made it easy for criminals to do their thing and get away.

Home invasions and break-ins are a big problem in South Africa. Like in this case, the victim was watched at her workplace and then robbed. People frequenting entertainment venues are often targeted, especially those at casinos or up market venues.

If you plan to visit RSA for the soccer world cup, be very careful when leaving any entertainment venue and also keep an eye open for anyone who might be watching you. It's easy to say:"Blend in with the locals", but criminals know what to look for and they will very easily recognize you as a tourist.

South Africans simply do not have the freedoms that other people may think of a normal. No-one in his right mind let kids walk to school unattended, no-one walks the streets after dawn or before dusk, locking up every possession is normal, cars are never left anywhere without a car guard nearby....the list is simply endless.

Be very careful before visiting and make sure that you have good security arrangements around you.
